“People are the greatest resource of any organization and yet they are often the least invested in. Life is lived from the inside out, not the outside in.”
Paul has been growing and investing in people for over 30 years. Following 30+ years working in the not for profit sector Paul has transitioned into a new season of empowering and building people through his Masterclass events on communication, leadership and growing big people.
He now focuses on three main passions – Communication, Leadership and personal development.
Paul’s unique ability to make complex things simple is a hallmark of his skill as a communicator. His belief that it’s more important to grow people than things combined with his innate ability to walk in other peoples shoes creates a rare sense of connection with his audiences and followers.
His down to earth what he calls ‘wisdom for life’ approach to learning has put him in demand as a keynote speaker all over the world. He believes that there is greatness in everyone but that most will never discover it without the help of a mentor.
Paul has committed this season of his life to helping people and organisations not to get stuck in old versions of themselves. He speaks to tens of thousands live annually and many more through his online and social media platforms.
He believes that your best life is yet to come if we know how to access it.
My definition of leadership today is significantly different to the one I held 30 yrs ago. Back then it had more to do with titles, badges and positions. Now I think it’s all about making a difference; it is about influencing people or situations towards a better outcome.
Leadership is adding value. It isn’t just about authority or having a title, it’s being a carrier, a burden-bearer, a load-lightener. Leadership is functional and practical, and is essentially nothing to do with age, gender or background.
By the above definition there are many more leaders out there than you or I previously thought, which is good news. And you’re probably one of them!
The greatest mistake people make with communication is to assume that it has happened. I have been a communicator for over 30 years but still feel there’s so much to learn. Quality communication requires constant work and adjustment; it doesn’t improve by itself.
Good communication is essential at all levels, whether it relates to marketing, organizational branding, public speaking, the written word, or simply our personal appearance. It all has a voice. Public speaking has been my main expression of communication and, though some feel that in this digital age of short attention spans it is a dying art, I would disagree.
Public speaking done well, can be as breathtaking as any work of art hung on a wall or sculpture on a pedestal.
I am committed to helping people improve their communication skills and especially those who feel called or vocationally inclined towards some form of public speaking.
People are the best idea God ever had! I never set out to build a big organization, but I did set out to build big people. I’ve noticed that big people live bigger, more confident lives. Big people have bigger social circles and take bigger risks. Big people think big and believe for bigger things than small-minded people. Big people are generous, less selfish and are generally happier.
People are the greatest resource of any organization and yet they are often the least invested in. Life is lived from the inside out, not the outside in.
So if we build people on the inside, then they will build things on the outside that reflect that inner quality and strength. Everything begins inside people!
