To have felt seen, heard, valued and “loved” yes your read that right loved will be the hallmark of all flourishing governments and organisations of the future.

Vision is your values, but culture is your behaviour.

Most organisations major on  their vision assuming that a strong vision is sufficient to inspire the outcomes they want.

But culture eats vision for breakfast, because a good vision with a bad culture is like serving a beautiful meal on a dirty plate.

The plate is your culture, habits, behaviours and the best or worst default settings of your organisation.

We don’t care about your vision we care about your behaviour.

If your behaviour is kind, welcoming, helpful, respectful and does what your vision statement promises then you will have our loyalty and retention, which is every organisations dream.

I never cease to be amazed at the disconnect between the vision and the culture of businesses and organisations, all of the world.

Everybody thinks their culture is great because they experience it as an insider not as an end user.

We must be our own secret shoppers, our own best critics and staff and customer experience analysts.

The best cultures are the ones created from an “in their shoes” approach not an in our shoes approach.

Have you noticed that Leadership is changing all over the world?

It’s changing from the old hierarchical command and obey structures and systems to what I call SERVANT LEADERSHIP.

Servant leadership is emerging globally in governments, businesses, healthcare, education, hospitality and across all “service” industries.

Male dominated left brain logic leadership structures and spaces are experiencing a revolution of gifted female leaders and our world is all the better for it.

Leadership is shifting from top down hierarchies to grass roots empowerment, from the genius with a thousand helpers models, to teams of shared genius where all forms of intelligence are welcomed and celebrated.

Growing great leaders is my passion and the two biggest things I’ve learned in over 35 years of my work in leadership development is that

1. Leaders don’t come assembled.

2. Therefore leaders are not where you’re looking.

There isn’t a lack of leaders there’s an absence of how to find and attract them and that’s my sweet spot.
